Wheel of Life: Uncovering Yoga
Many of us in the west look at Yoga as a form of exercise, but the scope or philosophy of Yoga is much more than that. Yoga is a lifestyle that has been in practice for more then 4,000 years. We do not understand how Yoga got started but the oldest pictures of the Yoga meditation postures were found in the Indus Valley in an area that we refer to today as Pakistan. Yoga Has Broken Into the Mainstream
Isn’t it great how yoga practice has emerged from oblivion and has permeated the health-conscious part of our society and now is practiced seemingly everywhere to the great benefit of its practitioners? The benefits extend to many levels of being, encompassing therapeutic benefits such as stamina, balance, flexibility, even pain and stress relief; as well as mental and emotional well-being.
